First off, if you are starting out with an Adam Drake version of the XXX-NT kit, then the first thing that you need to do is to replace the front arms, rear arms, and rear shock tower with either RTR parts or the normal plastic ones from the regular kit. The graphite parts are handy only to the very good drivers where they can take full advantage of the rigidity and lighter weight that the praphite offers. Replacing these will greatly reduce the number of times you have to stop your bashing or pull out of a race. Second, are you tired of having the marshal pop your ballcups back on? Replace the stock ballcups with Traxxas captured ends and Lunsford Titanium Turnbuckles. Never again will you have problems with this. Next, have you ever stripped or melted the big plastic diff gear? Go onto eBay or search around for hard anodised monster diff gears. I have had one of these in my truck for going on 2 years now. It's great! The battery box. How many of us have snapped off one of these boxes when you landed a little too nose up? The new AD2 battery box is made out a a better plastic and will fit right into the original XXX-NTs. Lastly, some of you might have had problems with the front kick plate. Many people make an aluminum replacement with countersunk holes that works perfectly with your kit. No more screws getting pulled through that thing. I hope all of these hop-ups will help to bring back the gas truck class and encourage people to work out their car problems instead of contantly switching brands.
